Happiness & Singleness Do Not Go Together?

jump

…for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content Phillipians 4:11

“You can’t really be happy to be single?”

There’s this fear amongst singles that if you’re happy and satisfied being single it’s like God is going to keep you single!

Imagine giving a young child a toy as a gift and they’re not appreciative and they keep on bugging you for the other toy they want.

How would you feel? Why should you give the child the other toy if they didn’t even appreciate what they currently have.

So how can we expect our heavenly Father to move us from our current season to our next season when were are in a state of complaining and ungratefulness.

Maybe God is waiting for you to release what’s in your hands i.e. the frustration, impatience, unforgiveness so he can give you what’s in His hand for you.

Let go of it all and free your hands to receive the gift God has for you.

If you’re not happy in the season you’re in now how can God move you to the next?

If you’re not happy, content and satisfied as a single person, and you think marriage will solve this unhappiness, you’ll be in for a big shock (or worse big divorce)

If you’re not happy as a single person you will not be happy as a married person either.
