Moreover David said, “The LORD, who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.” And Saul said to David, “Go, and the LORD be with you!” 1 Sam 17: 37
When you’ve prayed for marriage and prayed and prayed believed and hoped. But nothing.
You can’t understand why nothing seems to be happening, you begin to question everything and then you question God.
In the midst of another break up – you ask have you forgotten me Lord?
When you’re the last of all your friends to get married – you ask have you forgotten me Lord?
On the morning of your 40th Birthday, still single – you ask have you forgotten me Lord?
But the question is… have you forgotten?
The Lord delivered you from that dead-end relationship? The Lord is saving His best for last? He has kept you alive for 40 years?
No. God has not forgotten you.
Look back at past victories and remember, like David, how the Lord delivered him from the paw of the lion and bear. David knew He was the same God that would help him defeat the giant he was about to face.
So remember all the miracles God has done in your life, all the small things the big things. Count your blessings one by one, as they say. Count all the ‘lions’ and ‘bears’.
Every day the Lord has loved you, saved you, redeemed you, forgiven you, kept you, provided for you, protected you, fought for you, favored you, covered you, delivered you and on and on…
No. God has never forgotten you. So, never forget Him.
To Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. Ephesians 3:21
