But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun] Isaiah 40:31 (KJV)
It is good to say you are waiting on the Lord for your husband/wife and the bible says they that wait renew their strength, mount up with wings as eagles, run and walk.
Waiting doesn’t mean doing absolutely nothing - it takes some activity from you too. While you are wait on the Lord:
Prepare yourself to be married. Study what the bible says about it - what a husband should be, what a wife should do and so on.
Pray for yourself and your future husband/wife. Ask God for discernment while dating and in relationships, ask for guidance, for strength and so forth.
Position yourself to find or be found. Like Boaz and Ruth, put yourself in a good places where you can find your future wife, or be found by your future husband.
They shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31 (KJV)
