Going to War

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.  For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ 2 Corinthians 10:3-5

We mustn’t be ignorant of the devices of the devil (2 Corinthians 2:11), we have an adversary who comes against us on a daily basis.

The devil hates any sort of unity in the Body of Christ, because he knows two are better than one, one can chase a thousand two ten thousand! (Ecclesiastes 4:9,Deuteronomy 32:30)

The bible says we are to pray without ceasing, we are commanded to cast out demons, tread over scorpions and snakes, cast down, pull down strongholds, fight against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

We should be ‘offensive’ and ‘defensive’ in prayers: Offensive is to break the power of the enemy. Defensive is to prevent the attacks of the enemy.

So put on the full armor of God!
